SPACE AND MATERIALITY ( week 4 )

This week our class started by presenting COASTERS which each one of us had to make and show this week . The coasters were based on anything which we like , i chose an abstract design and a design indicating DOG PAWS . Then we were told to show hand gestures which we had to make and get this week .

THIS PICTURE SHOWS A COASTER WHICH IS MADE BY ME , THIS DEPICTS DOG PAWS WHICH IS MADE BY THE DIFFERENT KIND OF HAND TOOLS AND THE MACHINE SUCH AS FILER NEEDLE AND ROUND FILER AND DRILLING MACHINE.
THIS COASTER DEPICTS AN ABSTRACT DESIGN WHICH IS MADE BY ME IN THE WORKSHOP USING THE DIFFERENT HAND TOOL AND THE MACHINE.

We had to chose any 5 grips holding an objects and sketch each one of them from the four different views . I chose a can , scissor , pencil , a glass and a bottle , so I drew from all the four views . After completing the entire sketching of the hand gestures we had render it according to the live drawing . Post this we had to finalize one of the sketch and make an abstract design out of it through the prototype material .

THIS HAND GESTURE DEPICTS THAT MY HAND IS HOLDING ONTO SOME GRIP THAT IS THE PEPSI CAN , SO NOW WE NEED TO CREATE AN ABSTRACT USING THE PROTOTYPE MATERIAL.

After finalizing one design i had to break the hand into several parts to create an abstract from it and make a model out of it in the upcoming class . I would like to mention that in this class i gathered a lot of information based on different types of hand gestures and hwo to sketch them from the different angles and views .
