This week we started with the review of the 5 layouts which we were told to make . We were told to keep certain things in mind such as character style , paragraph style and baseline grid without which our layouts would be considered incomplete.
The feedback which sir had given be was that i had not applied paragraph and character style in my layout which later on I applied it and learnt how to use it . I also learnt about the different kinds of book bindings which was based on different kinds of book design layouts which could further help us to design my book , i learnt about the different hardcover book anatomy and the layout of a book . I also learnt about the different types of book binding which are :
- saddle stitched
- loop stitched
- sewn bound
- perfect bound
- tape bound
- screw bound
- hardcover or case bound
