DATE -5TH AUGUST 2019

FACULTY – PRASAD JOSHI

In this week spoke about the different types of tools , explored more and learnt more . We learnt more about the pen tool in detail and also the fill and stroke effect and the align ,pathfinder and transform .

After this we were shown a presentation and some images on the ‘ 5 PRINCIPLES OF GESTALT ‘. The five types are:

  1. PROXIMITY- This talks about objects tend to be grouped together if they are close to each other .
  2. SIMILARITY- This is basically when an object tends to be grouped together if they are similar.
  3. CONTINUITY – This is the intersection between the 2 or more objects .
  4. CLOSURE – These are the visual connection between the 2 sets of elements which do not touch each other .
  5. CONNECTEDNESS – This is also known as the good figure which means the objects are grouped together which is EQUIDISTANT .
THIS POSTER DEPICTS THE GESTALT PRINCIPLE WHICH SHOWS THE FIGURE GROUND PRINCIPLE AND CLOSURE . I USED THE BASIC PEN TOOL AND COLOUR TO MAKE THIS .

Lastly , i would like to include i learnt a little about the gestalt principle and the other tools which we had to use it to make our posters . I look forwad for this class as we get to learn about the different kinds of tools and explore more on them .
