FACULTY- PRASAD JOSHI
In my first class of imaging we were divided into two groups : vector images and raster images where both the groups had to debate which image is better than the other one and look for their advantages and understand these images in depth and use them in future . Basically what i understood from these images are that they are the types of graphics ,raster images are made up of pixels and vector images are made up of paths.
Secondly, raster images can be converted into vector images but vector images cannot be converted into raster images .
Thirdly, raster images consisits of JPEG , GIFS etc .
As we have heard that now days everything is converted from manual machines to digitalization . So, in our first class we were introduced to our first softwares which is ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR . on this softwares sir got us to experience and try several tools such as pen tool, SELECTION tool, direct tool and the shape tool . we were also introduced to the option WINDOWS where we could find the PATH FINDER and the COLOUR options as well as the GRADIENT options , With the help of these tools we were told to create , experiment and explore the different types of shapes and make a basic composition out of it .
After my first session i learnt about the few basic tools which helped me create my first composition and i learnt about various shortcuts which are used in this software and will help create more composition and other creative artworks. I am looking forward to create more stuff and gain more knowledge about the different softwares which help in my future .
