This week we were shown a french movie named AMELIE , this movie consists of a young girl named amelie who had a lonely childhood because of her parents belief about her health , because of her health she was home-schooled and later on her mother passed away . This led her to work as a waitress and earn money at a very young age , she is single and is now free to roam normally .
Later on , she finds some treasure and returns it to the former occupant of her apartment . After seeing his reaction she thought of devoting her life to the people around her . After finding herself in escapades she found out that she is disregarding her own life and damaging her interest in love .Amelie then discovers she must become more aggressive and take a hold of her life and capture the beauty of love which she has always dreamt of .
Amelie tries to enrich the lives of those around her by weaving her special brand of mischievous magic. She befriends a neighbor who’s a shut in , plays pranks on each other , steals a garden gnome and returns objects she collects to their rightful owners . She romantically daydreams in the cafe she works at and marvels at life’s ironies . One day she finds a small box containing a child’s mementos and decides to set about finding its .
At last amelie falls in love with a guy known as Nino , both of them are very happy . So the narrator wants the audience to notice the miraculous details of life that occur every moment . Mr. dufayel encourages them to pursue love , happiness or risk eternal happiness .
At last i would like to mention that the two main characters of the story were amelie and mr. dufayel and their stories. After watching the movie we had to write down five different words which described the movie . I also learnt their were multiple stories running through the same movie .
