In the second week , we were told to show our previous assignment which was based on MAN MADE MATERIAL and the ENGINEERED MATERIAL which we had to choose and pick from the local markets . The different materials which i had under the man made material was THERMAOCOL,CARDBOARD,CLAY,FOAM,FAUX LEATHER. Under the natural category i had jute ,graphite,cotton,wool,silk. We had to explain the properties of both the material and stick them on a black mountbound .
After this we were told to make a coaster which we had to design by our choice . We were then told to select any 2 of the designs and then trace them on the MDF sheet and then carve the shapes and the designs on the coasters using the different tools and the machines . We had to use to the machine specifically to pop out the design on the coaster .
In this week i further learnt more about the tools and machine in the workshop and also explore more ideas and designs for my coaster and i look forward to learn about the different sort of material which is used in day to day life.
